Shelterhouse

Operates a winter shelter at the David and Rebecca Barron Center for Men at 411 Gest Street in Queensgate. The shelter is open from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for men and women over the age of 18.

 

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is also welcoming those who would like a place to warm up. Officials said library branches will be open during normal business hours. Residents can find their nearest library location and hours of operation by clicking or tapping here.

 

The R.C. Durr YMCA in Boone County will be opening it’s doors during normal hours 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. to the community as a warming center.

Transportation to the shelter will be provided by Cincinnati Brew Bus and New Prospect Baptist Church. The buses will pick up people outside of the Winter Shelter at 411 Gest St. and transport them to Gabriel’s Place, 3618 Reading Road.

The First Christian Church in Paintsville will open a warming center Wednesday night from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

 

The Creek Church in London will be open Wednesday starting at 7 a.m.

 

Prestonsburg Church of God will have a warming center open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. They also say people need to be checked in by 10 p.m.

 

In Laurel County, the London Fire Department and East Bernstadt Fire Department will open warming centers from Tuesday night until Thursday at 10 a.m.
