Renfro’s passion for people will strengthen House
Mary Renfro has worked with Kentuckians from all walks of life. As a future leader in the statehouse, Renfro wants to ensure their future and our state’s future is filled with opportunities for all.
Renfro is running for the state’s 71st House District which includes Garrard and Rockcastle counties and part of Madison County.
“I want to have an impact for the people of Kentucky in areas that matter for our future—education, health and economic well-being,” Renfro said. “I feel strongly that the future of the state depends on the outcomes of our next generation and I want what’s best for our children and our families.”
An important part of that impact for Renfro includes addressing the pension program for our teachers, public employees and working for Kentucky’s economic well-being as a whole.
For six years, Renfro has been a Madison County school board member.
She came to Richmond in 1989 to pursue a degree in social work at Eastern Kentucky University.
Renfro has remained involved with her neighbors and community for the last 29 years with strong family values.
Her and her husband, Ernest, have raised six daughters in the Richmond/Berea area and on a small family farm. Their family includes both adopted and biological children.
Through her work as a real estate agent, Renfro helps strengthen her community and the families she helps attain the American dream of owning a home.
“I have been helping people find homes and property as an agent for 14 years,” Renfro said. “I have a real passion for matching the right people to the right property, and through this work, I have come to know the region quite well. As someone who has met and worked with people from all walks of life, I know the importance of careful listening.”
