Kentucky Democratic Party Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement on Gov. Andy Beshear raising more than $4 million for his re-election campaign:

“Today, we are proud to share that Governor Beshear has smashed a major fundraising milestone, surpassing $4 million raised for his re-election, more than a full year before Election Day. This is a reflection of the strong bi-partisan approval ratings that Governor Beshear has earned by leading Kentucky through tough times while fostering the strongest economy Kentucky has ever seen. We know the Republicans are going to throw the kitchen sink at him in a desperate attempt to tear him down, but Kentuckians won’t be distracted by the lies and false attacks. There is much work ahead but we are confident that the campaign will have the resources needed to organize across the state and take on whoever emerges from the circus that will be the GOP primary.”
